A potted history of the Château
Château de Vaudeézert is a truly remarkable and historic place to stay.
The combination of its rich history and the dedication of the Blanshard family in restoring it makes it a unique destination. The Château’s history dates back to 1609 and it played an important role in World War II.
The Château was occupied by the Germans in WWII and then by the Americans who liberated the area in 1944.
The Château was gifted to the Church in 1930 where it became a seminary until 1970.
